#3 Banishing (9-5) won four of his last six starts and missed by a head both times he lost. He set the pace and just missed in the G3 Razorback at 8.5f Feb. 23. Flavien Prat got to know him last time and he owns early-pressing versatility.
#1 The Wine Steward (4-1) finished out of the exacta once in eight starts and that lone bad effort was in the G1 Belmont last year. The talented NY-bred is a sprinter/miler, and he exits a local stakes win at this distance in the 5th Season Jan. 25. He drilled a 5f bullet for this at GP March 15 and figures to save ground chasing the pace under Jose Ortiz.
#8 Saudi Crown (7-5) won the G1 PA Derby in 2023 and captured three stakes races last year (G3 Louisiana, Cowboy Jones, Tenacious). He set the pace and weakened to 5th of 11 in the G1 Pegasus Jan. 25 and runner-up Locked and show finisher Skippylongstocking were both next-out stakes winners. He should be right up on the pace from the outside post.
