#8 Una Palabra (5-1) finished a length behind Marinas Tina in a local turf route last fall, and she stalked and scored by 3+ lengths at this course/distance in December. She got going too late from the outside post and missed the show by a head at 7.5T March 6 (Marinas Tina 2nd). She is not too far behind the favorite on ability and might offer a hint of value.
#7 Sunglasses (9-2) shipped from Santa Anita to Turf Paradise and won a local turf route at as favorite March 10. I would not be surprised if she clicked right back.
#1 Marinas Tina (5-2) was part of the exacta in all three local optional-claiming starts. She was 4th of 10 in a local stakes race Feb. 13, and stalked the pace and was second best behind strong favorite Shin Jidai March 6. I played her a few times when she raced in Southern California and she is a logical contender as the favorite.
