#6 Eddie M (7-2) exits back-to-back wins at MRV. The 6-time winner stretches back out and he romped at this distance March 24. This is his first local start and his trainer Nestor Rivera is sending out live runners at TND (13 3-5-1). Angel Diaz stays put and he is clicking at a 21% rate at the current meet.
#3 Moreau (9-5) finished in the top three in his last eight starts and he won four of those races. He was the favorite in seven of his last eight outings and will likely go off as the favorite in this heat. He sports two local wins and likes this distance (8 5-2-1).
#5 Powerful (2-1) won a dirt sprint for David Jacobson at OP March 16. Michael Rone claimed him that day and he missed by a neck as a 48-1 longshot April 11. This barn is struggling to find the winner’s circle this year and I like him more underneath.
