#4 Chasten (5-2) rallied from off the pace to win her local extended sprint bow on Nov. 30. She caught the slop and was an even 4th of 6 in the Silverbulletday second time out, and show finisher Drexel Hill returned to capture the Busher and was second in the G1 Ky Oaks. She added lasix and was clearly second best behind promising winner Shred the Gnar in a similar course/distance spot on May 2. She sports six local works for this and figures to stalk the pace for the recently hot Geroux/Cox team.
#1 Cue the Duckboats (8-1) improved her speed ratings in all three starts. Bill Mott’s $150k Bernardini filly stretched out, stalked the pace, and graduated by a length and a quarter as the favorite at Churchill on June 4. She figures to save ground stalking the pace under her winning rider Jamie Torres.
#6 Gowells Delight (6-5) earned the beat last race number in a neck defeat as the beaten favorite in the local mud on June 6 (off the turf), and it was 15 lengths back to the show finisher. She was second in the G2 Rachel Alexandra and third in the G2 FG Oaks earlier this year.
