#5 Lost Horizon (4-1) is an Into Mischief filly and dam Wow Cat (CHI) won the G1 Beldame in 2018 and landed the place in the G1 BC Distaff. This is Wow Cat’s second starter (first starter did not win), and this one debuted in the common Endorse maiden race and was wide and showed mild late interest to finish 4th of 11 in that slow early/fast late event. She was 4 1/2 lengths behind Endorse last time. Flavien Prat stays put and he wins races with Chad Brown, and she sports three local moves since he last start.
#2 Endorse (8-5) is a $375k Curlin filly for Pletcher and dam Out Post placed in two listed stakes (Jenny Wade, Candy Eclair), and she has tossed three winners from four starters (1 stakes winner). Mike Repole owns this one and she was the favorite in her SAR extended sprint bow on June 6, and she attended the pace and was best of the rest in third. Winner Ragtime returned to smartly win again as the favorite July 5, and runner-up Filly Freedom landed the place as the beaten favorite July 5. She is bred to handle two turns and could easily run faster second time out.
#6 Resurge (7-2) broke slow from post 10 and was 5th of 11 in the aforementioned June 6 affair at 7f. Constitution is a win early sire and dam Close Hatches (7-time graded winner) has produced four winners from five starters including graded winners Batten Down, Scylla, and Tacitus. The Juddmonte filly was firing bullets prior to her bow and shows three local moves since that race. Joel Rosario is 0-for-6 with Mott.
#3 Reality Star (9-2) rallied for the show in both starts around one turn (7f, 8f). He stretches out for Shug McGaughey and figures to enjoy two turns.
