Horse Comments:
#1 Lyle the Crocodile (8-5) figured to be forwardly placed in the Oceanside but he hopped at the start and rallied for the show in a good effort. Umberto Rispoli knows him now and he should attend the pace from the inside post if he gets out of the gate this time.
#5 Geometry (7-2) was 5th of 11 from post 10 (beaten 11 lengths) in his KD bow at 8T last summer. He stalked and graduated in a KEE turf route second time out (October 2024). The returnee sports a pair of local turf bullets for this and quality turf rider Hector Berrios takes the call. This is his first start as a gelding and Jonathan Thomas is 35% with his first lasix starters.
#2 Cali Cat (4-1) stalked from the inside post and failed to quicken when splitting a 10-horse field in the Oceanside (beaten 1 length). He reconnects with his winning rider Juan Hernandez and this pilot guided him to a course/distance maiden win last summer.
