Race 4 Scratches – #2 Tiz Grace

#5 Island Home (7-2) was 10-1 in the Tiz Grace turf route Oct. 3 and she ended up an even 5th of 9. Kazushi Kimura sticks with Michael McCarthy’s $275k Maxfield filly and this is a 29% jockey-trainer team. She had a decent half-mile move for this Oct. 17 and might go better the second time around.
#7 Wild Like the West (3-1) was 6-1 in her dirt sprint bow and she stalked the pace and weakened to 8th of 10. Dam has produced a turf winner and Hernandez takes the call for Richard Baltas, who also saddles #3 Rabid Response (10-1). The latter was 29-1 in her turf route bow and she ran around the track and finished 7th of 10 in a good education run. Brave Deb won that race and clicked right back in the G3 Surfer Girl. Richard Baltas shows a profit with horses adding blinkers and she might go better second time out.
#1 Authentically (5-1) improved her speed ratings in all three starts. Her trainer does not win many turf races but his turf runners hit the board a third of the time. Mirco Demuro takes the call and he is riding well at the current stand.
