Horse Comments:
#3 Seahorse Stampede (7-2) graduated at this course and distance in March and landed the place in half of his six turf starts since. He missed by a head twice and is back in Arizona and will try to get involved late under 20% turf pilot Orlando Mojica.
#4 McClusky (5-2) won a local race at 7.5T in 2024 and landed the place in one of seven turf outings since. His good effort this year was at DMR at this distance on July 31. He removes blinkers, returns to TUP, and Vann Belvoir is 0-for-7 with six underneath finishes at the current stand. His new pilot Harry Hernandez is a 20% turf rider.
#7 My Cairo Kid (4-1) makes his first start since April and he is versatile. He is 0-for-6 with three runner-up finishes and a show finish at TUP. He drilled a local 3f bullet for this Oct. 27 and his new rider Glenn Corbett is 8-for-32 on turf.
#6 Baie Longue (9-2) exits a show finish in a dirt sprint at EMD and the top two finishers were next-out winners. He has won on turf before and showed speed in a few all-weather routes at TP earlier this year. He is probably the one to catch in a race lacking front end speed.
