Horse Comments:
#3 Centrodelantero (4-1) moved to the Jeff Mullins barn, returned to turf, and looked good winning by 3+ lengths under Hector Berrios in a starter allowance affair at 8T Nov. 9. That was his first start as a gelding and he earned a quality number, and he probably wins this if he runs two alike.
#6 City Exile (3-1) drops in class and is entered for the $50k tag. Phil D’Amato’s 2-for-19 gelding drilled a local 5f bullet for this Jan. 11. Umberto Rispoli takes the call and he should be forwardly placed.
#2 One Of These Days (6-1) likes this turf course. He won a local $25k affair at 8T in June and was 3rd and 7th in his next two DMR starts. He struck again at SA in October (8T) and was 8th and 5th in his last two DMR turf routes. Juan Hernandez strings along and he should save ground from an inner post.
#11 Moonlit Sonata (6-1) hit the board in all three starts at this distance on turf. Emisael Jaramillo takes the call and this one set the pace and missed by a neck in a local 9T affair last March. He might be aggressively handled from the outside post.
#9 Theodore George (20-1) was 7th of 12 in his turf route bow at CD Nov. 1, and he graduated in the mud at this distance at CD Nov. 20 (blinkers on). Ricky Gonzalez takes the call and Michael McCarthy’s Curlin colt has upside.
