Horse Comments:
#2 Jeanne Marie (5-1) was part of the trifecta in seven of her last ten starts. The 5-time local winner scored at this course/distance last spring, and she exits a neck defeat in the Mrs. Claus at seven panels.
#5 Alani (2-1) won the local Cornucopia in November and exits a show finish in the Mrs. Claus. She dueled and was beaten a half-length last time and should make her presence felt from the outset.
#3 Carousel Queen (4-1) finished in the top three in her last five starts. She exits back-to-back wins at this course and distance, and Scott Lake’s sharp filly will try to get involved from off the pace.
#7 Mega Mil (5-1) battled on the pace and held the place behind Alani in the Cornucopia in November, and she dueled and prevailed by a neck as the favorite in an OC-75k/2x dirt sprint when last seen at AQU in December. She should impact the pace from the outside post.
