Check out my Thursday (5-14-26) Laurel Park Race 8 analysis below.
LRL 8 (Alw-49k/1x, 3&up, 6f dirt) – Post Time 3:28 PM ET
Primary – #5 PACO THE TACO MAN, #1 Surgical Precision
Secondary – #2 Fear Nothing
Horse Comments:
#5 Paco the Taco Man (3-1) wired the field in a Clm-30k affair at this course and distance April 11. Jaime Ness claimed him that day and he went all the way again in a local allowance affair April 26. Mychel Sanchez sticks with the sharp gelding and he might be able to make it three straight front running victories.
#1 Surgical Precision (2-1) was less than even money in his local 6f bow February 2025 and he stalked and scored by 2 lengths. He finally resurfaced more than a year later and stalked and was clearly second best in an extended sprint at CNL March 13. He fired a local half-mile bullet for this May 7 and figures to save ground behind the speed for Team Russell.
#2 Fear Nothing (7-2) completed the trifecta in his last three local starts vs. this kind at six panels. I like him more underneath and he especially enjoys completing the trifecta (8 shows finishes).
