Horse Comments:
#3 Bye Bye Liam (9-2) finished in the top three in all nine starts this year. He returned from a layoff and was clearly second best Oct. 10 and the winner clicked right back. The early-pressing gelding drilled a local half-mile bullet for this Nov. 30. This is his first local start and he has struck twice at this distance.
#5 Axton (3-5) is 6-for-7 with a runner-up finish since May. He exits back-to-back local wins and is 6-for-15 at this trip. The early-pressing favorite could easily make it three straight wins at ZIA.
#4 Sanger (6-1) looked good winning a $6250k claimer as the favorite at ALB Oct. 19. He was 9-1 in a local sprint at 6.5f Nov. 10 and he stalked from the outside post and finished 4th of 7, and the top three finishers were next-out winners including Axton. He has won at this distance before.
