Check out my Wednesday (1-22-25) Gulfstream Park Race 8 analysis below.

GP 8 (OC-20k/1x, FL-bred 4&up, 1 1/16 miles all-weather) – Post Time 4:04 PM ET
Primary – #4 CATCH A TIGER, #2 Shankar
Secondary – #6 Uncle Armando

Horse Comments:

#4 Catch a Tiger (3-1) switches surfaces and looks like the controlling speed. He hit the board in 3 of 4 synthetic starts for Mark Casse and his new rider Dylan Davis knows how to handle a speed horse.

#2 Shankar (5-2) was part of the trifecta in his last six starts, and he finished in the top three in 11 of 12 attempts on all-weather footing. The consistent gelding owns early-pressing versatility and his winning rider Edgard Zayas is 23% with Saffie Joseph Jr.

#6 Uncle Armando (6-1) has stuck four times in local all-weather events. He won a $16k claiming route in September and landed the place in his last three starts. His new trainer Kent Sweezey is 9-for-37 at GP and Jorge Ruiz is 4-for-10 with this barn (7 top three finishes). He does his best running in the late going.

Wagers:
