The Federico Tesio Stakes at Laurel Park on Saturday, April 19 was a win and you’re in for the Preakness Stakes, and Pay Billy stalked the pace and won the race by a length and a half.
Federico Tesio order of finish: 1st – Pay Billy, 2nd – Just a Fair Shake, 3rd – Surfside Moon, 4th – Happily Delusional, 5th – Kentucky Outlaw, 6th – Studlydoright, 7th – Bold Diversion, 8th – Sacred Thunder, 9th – Right Wing Runner, 10th – Arcadian.
Pay Billy (Improbable – Harlington’s Rose, by Harlington) was ridden by Raul Mena and Michael Gorham is his trainer. He is owned by RKTN Racing LLC. The 3-year-old bay colt was bred by WinStar Farm, LLC.
