#2 Takethemoneyhoney (3-1) scratched out of the Ruffian (G2) at Aqueduct on Saturday. She is 3-for-4 with a nose defeat and she was all over the pace each time. She won her extended sprint debut at PRX by 13 lengths (July 2024), and shipped to LRL and dueled and tallied by 2 lengths at 6f Feb. 22. She came to AQU and missed by a nose at one mile March 15, and rolled by 6 lengths as the favorite at LRL April 13. She drilled a half-mile bullet for this at PRX May 3 and should be right up on the pace from an inner post. This is her first attempt around two turns and she might get brave if they hand her an easy lead.
#1 Power Squeeze (1-1) took on male rivals in her last two starts and White Abarrio won both of those graded races. She landed the place in the Ghostzapper March 29, and was stuck in post 11 and was no threat as a 55-1 outsider in the G1 Pegasus Jan. 25. She was first in the Cash Run and first in the GP Oaks (G2) last year, and missed by a neck in the Rampart. She won the G3 Delaware Oaks and G1 Alabama as a sophomore, and her winning rider Javier Castellano should have her in a nice tactical spot from the inside post.
#5 Catherine Wheel (3-1) also scratched out of the Ruffian (G2) at Aqueduct on Saturday. She fired trifecta shots in all seven starts. Chad Brown’s consistent, tactical filly ,earned improved numbers in her last pair and this is her first start around two turns.
