Horse Comments:
#1 Paxsational (5-2) won a $30k/3L claiming dirt sprint May 3 and Brad Cox claimed him that day. He was 4-1 in a local off the turf sprint (OC-50k/1x – fast dirt) from post 11 and he ended up an even 4th. Irad Ortiz, Jr. sticks with him and he goes from the outside post to the rail. He will probably impact the pace.
#7 Amundson (2-1) finished in the top three in his last nine starts and he won six of those races. The 9-year-old can clearly still run a bit and he is 4-for-9 at SAR.
#4 Dot’s Dollar (6-1) had her 4-race trifecta streak come to an end when finishing 5th of 7 in a $40k sprint in the slop June 14. He has won at SAR before and his last victory was in a $25k claimer.
#5 Meet Me At Mundis (12-1) dueled and weakened to last of 6 from the inside post in the slop at MTH June 15 (OC-40k/2x). The versatile veteran fits with these on his best day and he has a good overall record at 6f (24 7-7-2).
