Check out my Thursday (9-11-25) Belmont at Aqueduct Race 7 analysis below.

BAQ 7 (OC-45k/2x, NY-bred F&M, 8.5T) – Post Time  4:10 PM ET
Primary – #3 RED BURGUNDY, #2 Gallant Greta
Secondary – #10 North End Lady, #4 Tour Jete

Horse Comments:

#3 Red Burgundy (7-2) was part of the exacta in five of six local starts (2 wins). Her winning rider Ricardo Santana, Jr. is 3-for-15 with Horacio De Paz and she should be in the thick of things from the outset. She returned from a layoff and smartly wired the field in her first start this year at this course/distance May 17, and set a pressured pace and was swallowed up late by closing favorite Brocknardini in a flat mile turf race at Saratoga on Aug. 6. She is back at her winning venue and might get brave if she shakes loose early.

#2 Gallant Greta (5-2) stalked the pace and graduated as the favorite in a flat mile turf race in April, and she rallied to miss by a half-length in a good effort in her first start vs. winners June 22. Flavien Prat took over as her rider and I made her my top choice at this distance on turf at Saratoga Aug. 23, and she overcame a bumpy start in a late running win as the favorite. Mike Maker’s sharp, versatile filly ran well in all five turf starts and her late pace ratings are on the rise.

#10 North End Lady (5-1) rallied to graduate in a Saratoga turf route last summer. She returned from a layoff of 6+ months and landed the show March 22, and was 4th of 7 (all-weather route), 4th of 8 (8.5T), and 3rd of 8 (9.5T) in her next three starts. She was 9-2 in a turf race at this distance at the Spa when last seen on July 26 and she was wide throughout and won by a length in a good effort. This is her winning distance and Barclay Tagg’s sharp mare will try to get involved from off the pace under her winning rider Dylan Davis. She is 0-for-2 with no top three finishes at Aqueduct.

#4 Tour Jete (4-1) is a 2-time local winner and she has struck twice at this distance. She likes to get involved early and she is entered for the $45k tag. Eric Cancel rides her well and William Morey is a profitable 17% with his turf starters.
