#8 Lovin’ On the Run (3-1) switched surfaces and rallied to nip #4 Oveta’s Hobby (7-2) by a head in a similar course/distance affair on June 21. They tried her in the Daisycutter at 5T last time and she broke last and rallied through traffic to split a 10-horse field in a respectable effort as a 33-1 outsider. Her winning rider Antonio Fresu stays put and she remains above her $32k claimed price and is entered for the $40k tag due to her clearing this level in June.
#2 Over Attracted (9-2) is 1-for-8 with four minor awards on fast dirt and is 0-for-4 with two runner-up finishes and a pair of show finishes at LRC. The late striding 8-year-old mare reunites with her winning rider Armando Ayuso.
#1 Emirates Affair (5-1) was part of the exacta in her last five starts and she has been popular at the claim box since March. Robert Hess, Jr. has her now and Hector Berrios got to know her last time. She pressed #6 Stay in Line (5-1) at DMR last out and those two made it a parade in a slow early/fast late event.
