Check out my Saturday (9-27-25) Santa Anita Park Race 10 analysis below.

SA 10 (G3 John C. Harris, 6.5T hillside) – Post Time 8:38 PM ET
Primary – #1 WARMING, #6 Casalu
Secondary – #8 Favor to You, #12 Tight Squeeze, #4 Innovative, #9 Eiffel

Horse Comments:

#1 Warming (7-2) rallied to win her 6T bow last June, and returned from a long layoff and finished a close 5th of 9 in the Take the A Train at 6T May 10. She added lasix and was the strong favorite in an OC-75k/1x turf route at DEL June 13 and she overcame trouble and motored late to win by a neck. She stepped up in class in her third start after a layoff in the G1 Belmont Oaks and stalked the pace from the inside post and finished 5th of 7. Last time, she was 5th of 6 in the G2 Lake Placid at 8T. Graham Motion’s filly turns back and gets the services of Umberto Rispoli.

#6 Casalu (5-1) is 2-for-3 with a runner-up finish at SA. She won the Blue Norther at 8T late last year and started 2025 with a victory in the Sweet Life at 6.5T on Feb. 9. She returned from a layoff and rallied for the place in the G2 San Clemente at 8T July 19, and set a fast pace and weakened to 8th of 11 in the G1 Del Mar Oaks Aug. 16. Bob Baffert’s decent turf performer turns back in her third start after a layoff and her winning rider Kazushi Kimura is 0-for-8 with this outfit recently.

#8 Favor to You (6-1) finished 5th in both attempts at 8T, but her turf sprint form is solid. She won two straight local events at 6T in April and May, and rallied for the show at 5.5T at Ellis Park last time. She rallied for the place in her course/distance bow in February. Juan Hernandez takes the call and he is 0-for-9 with Phil D’Amato recently.

#12 Tight Squeeze (9-2) won a pair of local CA-bred races at 6T earlier this year, and she rallied for the show in her last two starts at 5T vs. open company. This is her second start after a short layoff and she had a local half-mile move Sept. 19.

#4 Innovative (5-1) earned a competitive number in a flat mile win at DMR Aug. 9 and that was her fifth straight trifecta finish. Her regular rider Ricky Gonzalez is a profitable 16% turf pilot and Phil D’Amato’s filly can compete with these if she handles this shorter distance.

#9 Eiffel (8-1) closed from 7th to win her local 6T bow in June. She finished a neck behind Innovative as the beaten favorite at 8T second time out, and she disappointed as the beaten favorite at 8T Sept. 1. She turns back and drilled a local 5f bullet for this Sept. 20.
