Check out my Thursday (10-2-25) Presque Isle Downs Race 3 analysis below.

PID 3 (OC-62.5k, 3&up, 6f all-weather) – Post Time  4:24 PM ET
Primary – #4 GOING UP
Secondary – #2 John Dutton

Horse Comments:

#4 Going Up (5-2) missed by a head under Pablo Morales in a turf sprint at Colonial Downs on Aug. 30. He is 5-for-10 at Presque Isle and 3-for-6 at this distance, and Morales stays put and he is 3-for-8 with Ron Potts (all 8 finished in Top 3). The Mineshaft gelding drilled a local half-mile bullet for this on Sept. 24.

#2 John Dutton (3-1) is in good form for Scooter Davis. He won his last three local sprints and was third in the Hard Spun in July. Rosario Montanez rides him well and he might be the one to catch.

#5 That’s Right (9-5) has not won a race since April 2024 at Laurel Park. He dropped his last twelve starts and is 0-for-5 with zero top three finishes this year. This is his first start on all-weather ground and I will try to beat him as the favorite.
