Check out my Monday (10-6-25) Presque Isle Downs Race 7 analysis below.

PID 7 (H. B. P. A., Fillies & Mares, 1 mile 70 yards all-weather) – Post Time  6:12 PM ET
Primary – #7 SPIRITED, #1 Blitz
Secondary – #5 Candy Reward, #3 Nice as Pie, #4 Life’s an Audible

Horse Comments:

#7 Spirited (6-1) is the wildcard and I will take her on top at a price. She was fourth in the slop in her debut last year for Bill Mott. Josie Carroll took over as her trainer this year and she returned from a long layoff and dueled and missed by a neck as the beaten favorite in an all-weather route at WO July 12. She rallied smartly from the outside post to graduate by 7 1/2 lengths at this distance on Aug. 21. The Arrogate filly earned a nice late pace rating last time and she improved her numbers in all three starts.

#1 Blitz (5-1) set the pace and was second best as the beaten favorite in a turf route at WO on Aug. 29. She wired the field in both all-weather routes and she reconnects with her winning rider Ryan Munger.

#5 Candy Reward (3-1) turned back, raced wide, and finished 4th of 12 in the Presque Isle Masters (G2) at 6.5f on Sept. 19. The 5-time local winner is 3-for-4 with a runner-up finish at this distance. The early-pressing filly is a logical win contender for the productive Morales/Kulp team.

#3 Nice as Pie (7-2) stretches back out and switches surfaces, and she has a good record on all-weather ground (11 5-2-2).

#4 Life’s an Audible (10-1) won the G3 Sweetest Chant on turf last year and just missed in the G3 Herecomesthebride. She stalked and easily scored in her lone all-weather route attempt at GP in January, and she moved to the Kevin Attard barn and pressed and weakened to last of 6 in the G2 Canadian at 9T July 20, and runner-up Gimme a Nother (SAF) returned to win the G2 John C. Mabee at DMR Sept. 6. Rafael Hernandez wins races with this barn and the price should be right.

Wagers:
