#7 Boujie Betz (9-2) was part of the trifecta in all six starts at this distance and her recent pattern suggests a forward move. She graduated at this course/distance June 17 and regressed when finishing fourth in the Malvern Rose July 7, She bounced back with a head defeat at 6f July 21 and regressed when finishing 3rd of 5 Aug. 17. Her winning rider Antonio Gallardo stays put and she projects a tactical trip from the outside post.
#4 Shez Untappable (9-5) was part of the exacta in three of her last five local sprints (2 wins). She won back-to-back races in May (MSW) and June (Clm-25k/2L), and lost her last three races. She should be forwardly placed.
#1 First Foray (6-1) is 4-for-10 with a pair of runner-up finishes at Presque Isle. She has struck twice at this distance and might try to make the lead from the inside post under her new rider Martina Rojas.
#3 Winning Play (5-2) fired trifecta shots in her last four starts at Penn National. Her new rider Pablo Morales is clicking at a 25% rate at Presque Isle and she will probably impact the pace if she handles the all-weather surface.
