Del Mar Stakes Recaps for 11-16-25
Deși Arnaz (7f): Bourbon and Ginger made the lead from post 2 and heavy favorite Himika pressed between horses, and Revera was in the right tactical spot outside those two. Himika gained a short lead and Revera joined her and it came down to those two. Revera ($11.80) was relentless in the stretch and had the edge late by 3/4ths of a length. Himika was clearly second best and Cosmic Heat (3rd), Heaven’s Bolt (4th), Stuffy Mist (5th), and Bourbon and Ginger (6th) also ran. Antonio Fresu rode the winner for John Sadler and she turned the tables on Himika after finishing second behind that one from the inside post in the Anoakia at SA. She drew outside Himika in this race, and that, along with the venue change to DMR and the seven panel distance, made all the difference. Fractions: 22.80, 45.94, 1:10.65, 1:23.77.
