#3 Blacksmith (2-1) was the even money favorite in his 6.5f bow at SA and he was clearly second best. Bob Baffert’s $525k Liam’s Map colt fired a 5f bullet for this at SA on Nov. 10.
#2 Diaghilev (8-1) was 5-1 in his 6T bow and he finished an even 4th of 11. He was the favorite at 5T second time out and he pressed and finished 3rd of 8. His new rider Mirco Demuro is 10-for-22 at DMR and he is 2-for-8 with Richard Mandella. Dam has produced six winners from nine starters (3 stakes winners), and he sports a pair of local works for this.
#7 Cactus Charlie (6-1) hit the board in his last three starts. He returns to dirt and Ricky Gonzalez got to know him last time.
#4 Authentic Patriot (6-1) is a $350k Authentic first timer and he shows back-to-back 5f SA bullets for this including one from the gate Nov. 12.
#10 Winston Ave (8-1) is a Quality Road FTS for Bob Baffert and he drilled a 5f gate bullet for this at SA Nov. 13.
