On the turf course, a 7-2 pressing first timer graduated in the 5f opener, a 5-2 presser earned her diploma at 5f, a front running favorite scored at 5f, closing favorite Truly Quality defended his title in the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) at a mile and a half, and a 3-1 stalker won the 5f finale (rail at 24 feet).
Antonio Fresu guided home two turf sprint winners. John Sadler saddled a pair of turf sprint winners.

Grade 2 Hollywood Turf Cup (12T): Truly Quality ($5.80) made an outside early move under Mirco Demuro, and he sustained his run and repeated in the Hollywood Turf Cup. He beat 40-1 outsider by 1 3/4 lengths and Nineeleventurbo finished third in this event just like he did last year. Reiquist chased, led, and ended up fourth, and Rastman Vibe (5th), Grogu (6th), Mondego (7th), Balnikhov (8th), and pacesetter Balladeer (9th) also ran. Jonathan Thomas saddled the winner. Fractions: 24.56, 48.86, 1:14.24, 1:40.05, 2:05.07, 2:29.67.
