Fast main track and firm turf course. One front running winner at one mile on dirt. On the turf course, a stalking favorite graduated at 6f, a stalking favorite earned his diploma at 9f, an 8-2 stalker graduated at one mile, and a 14-1 stalker broke his maiden in the flat mile finale (rail at 30 feet).

Edwin Maldonado guided home two winners on the main track.

The $2 Pick 6 pool was $103,934 and tickets with six winners paid $18,504.80. The 5 out of 6 consolation prize was $250.40.

Santa Anita Recap for Saturday (2-14-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. No front running winners on dirt. On the turf course, a stalking favorite graduated in the 6.5f opener, a stalking favorite tallied at 6f, a 20-1 front runner scored on the downhill course, 9-1 stalker Mondego captured the San Marcos (G3) at 10f, and a 9-2 dueling front runner earned her diploma at 6.5f.

Riding doubles for Juan Hernandez (turf sprints) and Emisael Jaramillo (turf).

Santa Anita Stakes Recaps for 2-14-26

Grade 3 San Marcos (10T): Twirling Point and Stay Hot mixed it up on the front end, and the latter gained a short lead but it did not last. Mondego ($21.20) stalked from fourth, bid for the lead, and scored by a length. 47-1 outsider Flashiest chased the pace and landed the place, and Truly Quality rallied from last to edge Stay Hot for the show. Endlessly (5th), Twirling Point (6th), beaten favorite Gold Phoenix (7th), and Grogu (8th) also ran. Emisael Jaramillo rode the winner for Michael McCarthy. Fractions: 24.10, 48.11, 1:12.90, 1:36.45, 2:00.06.

The $2 Pick 6 pool was $60,602 and tickets with six winners paid $32,376.00. The 5 out of 6 consolation prize was $1,734.40.

Santa Anita Recap for Sunday (2-15-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. No front running winners on dirt (stalkers best). On the turf course, a 5-1 stalker/closer graduated at 6.5f, a 5-1 front runner tallied at 6f, a 3-1 front runner won at one mile, a 5-1 pressed tallied at 6.5f on the downhill course, and a 3-1 stalker won the flat mile finale (rail at 10 feet).

Mirco Demuro and Kazushi Kimura both booted home a pair. Doug O’Neill saddled two turf sprint winners. 

Santa Anita Stakes Recaps for 2-15-26

Palos Verdes (6f dirt): Madaket Road was a vet scratch and that left a 5-horse field. Pilot Commander set the pace and Modus Bestia pressed from second. Pilot Commander put away his pace rival and Listenupshance took up the chase, and the latter took a short lead but it did not last. Man O Rose ($4) stalked from the inside post, moved out, and struck the front in the lane and won by 1 1/2 lengths. Listenupshance was clearly second best and Pilot Commander was best of the rest in third. Smooth Cruisein and Modus Bestia also ran. Emisael Jaramillo guided home the winner for Jeff Mullins. Fractions: 22.49, 44.98, 57.53, 1:09.87.

The $2 Pick 6 pool was $64,181 and there were no tickets with six winners. The 5 out of 6 consolation prize was $506.60. There will be a Pick 6 carryover of $34,288 when live racing resumes on Friday, Feb. 20.
