#3 Sammy Davis (9-5) won his first two DMR sprints at 5f including the Graduation, and he set the pace and weakened to 5th of 8 (beaten 2 lengths) in the I’m Smokin at 5.5f as the favorite in September. He was 4-1 in the Golden State Juvenile at 7f Oct. 31 and he pressed, led, and split Ocean Bear and Can’t Help Myself. He stretched out, attended the pace, got clear, and ended up second in the Cal Cup Derby at 8.5f Jan. 17, and show finisher Pavlovian returned to win the Sunland Derby. He turns back and tries turf, and Sadler is 16% first turf and dam has produced a turf winner. He adds lasix and his regular rider Hector Berrios strings along.
#6 Ventry Strand – Scratched.
#5 Track Tiger (9-2) adds lasix after back-to back failed stakes tries. Emisael Jaramillo stays put and he wins races with Doug O’Neill (+ROI allowance trainer).
