Horse Comments:
#5 Fact (9-5) fired trifecta shots in all five starts. He dueled and graduated at one mile second time out, and had a troubled trip and ran on for the show in an extended sprint allowance event at Ellis Park last summer. He ended 2025 with a head defeat in the Smarty Jones, and he returned with a wide runner-up finish as the favorite in a flat mile affair at GP March 14. He is back around two turns and William Walden is 27% with his second off the bench starters. John Velazquez takes the call and I like his early-pressing versatility.
#2 Rothko (7-5) was the favorite in all four starts. He stretched out after two sprints and graduated at one mile at 30 cents on the dollar at FG Jan. 11. He set legit fractions and was clearly second best at this distance March 19. Brad Cox is 32% with the blinkers off move and he reconnects with 31% route rider Irad Ortiz, Jr.
#6 Coalmoon (12-1) is back on dirt for crafty conditioner Paulo Lobo and I am keying him underneath. He landed the place in two of his last three flat mile starts at Turfway, and he fired trifecta shots in four of six outings on conventional dirt. He owns competitive numbers and reunites with Luan Machado.
#3 Roger Roger (9-2) had the light bulb go on in a sharp front running extended sprint maiden win March 8. That was his ninth lifetime start and he should impact the pace under his new rider Flavien Prat.
