#2 Magnanimous Max (9-2) dropped from Mcl-50k to Mcl-20k and graduated by 3+ lengths as the favorite Jan. 15. Linda Rice claimed him and he returned to dominate $30k/3L claimers by 4 1/2 lengths as the favorite April 23 (clear runner-up #4 Sequential next-out winner). Both of his wins were at one mile and his winning rider Manny Franco is 6-for-14 with this outfit. I like his early-pressing versatility and he was just a tick below the winning par for this last time.
#8 Georgia Magic (3-1) set a pressured pace and missed by a nose at one mile May 3 and his new 30% trainer Schauer is 3-for-16 first after the claim. Friday’s rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. guided him home to a prominent throughout win in the local slop at this distance last summer.
Georgia Magic’s stablemate #7 Cocktailsnkringle (6-1) was part of the trifecta in 7 of his last 10 starts. He ran well in both local starts and has a good overall record at 8f (10 2-4-2).
#1 Miami Frank (6-1) was part of the exacta in his last four starts at GP. He reunites with his winning rider Tyler Gaffalione and figures to save ground chasing the pace in his third start off a short layoff.
