Horse Comments:
#2 Monumental (5-1) dueled and finished 4th of 9 at 38-1 odds in his local 6T bow. He was the favorite second time out and he stalked from the outside post and was best of the rest in third. He adds blinkers and Edwin Maldonado is 2-for-4 with Richard Baltas.
#3 Flamboyant (5-1) turns back and his new rider Joel Rosario is 9-for-16 with John Sadler.
#9 Koekkoek (9-2) was 4th of 13 in his synthetic route bow in IRE last year. He moved to the Phil D’Amato barn and completed the exacta in both local turf routes this year. He turns back and Antonio Fresu strings along.
#11 Legal Heir (6-1) might be the target. He set the pace in all five turf attempts and finished 2nd or 3rd on four occasions including a runner-up finish at 6.5T May 16 (Monumental 3rd).
#12 Don Rebelde (8-1) broke slow and finished an okay fourth in the common May 16 turf sprint. He fired a 4f bullet for this June 5 and might show more second time out.
