#2 Market Maven (5-2) was forced to do all of the pace dirt work chasing a loose front runner and ended up a clear second May 27. This is his third start since joining the Jamie Ness barn and he might get more pace to chase this time.
#6 Elusive Target (6-1) dropped into a $25k claimer and missed by a head at this course/distance May 27, and was a wide fourth as the beaten favorite at 1 3/16 miles June 6. He cuts back to a mile and figures to stalk the pace from the outside post.
#5 Margin of Air (9-5) controlled the pace through below par splits and beat Market Maven by 6 1/4 lengths on May 27. He probably won’t have such an easy time on the front end this time.
#1 Prince Colton (7-2) finished in the top three in eight of his last ten starts. The 7-time local winner likes this distance (8 3-2-1) and should impact the pace from the inside post.
