Check out my Wednesday (7-15-26) Presque Isle Downs Race 6 analysis below.

Scratches (race 6): 1 – Venik, #4 – Span of Control

Updated Tickets After Scratches:

PID 6 (Alw-33k/1x, 3&up, 6f all-weather) – Post Time 5:45 PM ET
Primary – #6 MR. HOOLIGAN, #3 Reteko
Secondary – #2 City Temper

Horse Comments:

#6 Mr. Hooligan (7-2) fired trifecta shots in four straight races including a nose defeat in a similar local 6f affair May 18. He was 7-1 in the Tom Ridge on June 15 and never got seriously involved. This is a better spot and he should be forwardly placed under his winning rider Gaddiel Martinez. He goes back on lasix and fired a local gate bullet for this July 9.

#3 Reteko (5-2) switched from turf to synthetic and easily went all the way in a local flat mile affair May 25, and he turned back and wired the field again at 6 1/2 furlongs on June 8 (dead heat). He is probably the one to catch for the productive Montanez/Davis team.

#2 City Tripper (6-1) was part of the trifecta in six of his last ten local sprints. The 6-year-old gelding does his best running in the stretch and is capable of landing a share on his best day.
