#6 Amorita (3-1) landed the place in a pair of turf sprint stakes (G3 Senorita, G3 Monrovia). She was freshened after finishing 4th of 9 in the Mizdirection at 6.5T May 16. She fired a best of 95 half-mile bullet for this at DMR July 17 and Antonio Fresu sticks with her. She graduated in a local turf route in 2024 and she should get pace to chase. Her numbers are better this year.
#1 Saratoga Special (7-2) chased from second and missed by a head in her first start in this country in the Wishing Well at SA Feb. 21. She was 10th of 11 in the G2 Giant’s Causeway and 5th of 9 at 8T May 8. She returns to California and turns back, and Joel Rosario is her new pilot.
#3 Can’t Sleep (8-1) fired trifecta shots in all seven sprint starts. The 3-time turf sprint winner stalked and scored at this course/distance August 2025, and she returned from a long layoff and finished second as the favorite at 6T June 14. Emisael Jaramillo got to know her last time and she worked 4f on turf at DMR July 19.
#2 Bit’s Tiger Magic (4-1) ran well in both local turf sprints at this distance last summer. This is her first start since January and she reconnects with her winning rider Juan Hernandez. She usually sets the pace but proved that she could pass horses in a stalk and pounce win at this course and distance as the favorite July 2025.
