#5 Mickey (7-2) was 23-1 in his dirt sprint bow May 22 and he rallied inside and missed by a half-length, and he ended up a length in front of Van Gogh Style that day. He stretched out July 26 and broke slow and finished 4th of 6 at 2-1 odds, and Van Gogh Style was third. He turns back and Joel Rosario got to know him last time.
#9 Gabriel’s Gift (3-1) was 6-1 in his local debut vs. this kind and he broke slow from post 2 and ran on for the place behind a romping winner. Rosario rode him last time but Joel opted to ride Mickey in this race, and 22% sprint rider Emisael Jaramillo ends up here and he is 0-for-1 with Baltas.
#1 Van Gogh Style (4-1) broke slow at 7-2 odds and finished 6th of 10 in his 6T bow in April, and he switched to dirt, dueled, and finished 3rd of 6 from the outside post at 6f second time out. He stretched out, set the pace, and finished second at one mile June 6 and the clear show finisher was a next-out winner. He was the favorite in a local flat mile affair July 26 and he made the running and weakened to finish third. He turns back and Sean McCarthy is 7-for-14 with beaten favorites.
#11 One More Zinger (12-1) stalked from post 11 and finished a nose behind Gabriel’s Gift in a show finish at 23-1 odds July 19. Alberto Ruvalcaba is a profitable 20% with second timers.
#7 Papa Santos (8-1) was beaten a dozen lengths in his debut and hit the board in his last pair. Tiago Pereira strings along and he fired a 3f bullet for this Aug. 8, and he can rally for a share.
