Del Mar Recap for Thursday (8-6-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. No front running winners on dirt. On the turf course, a 3-1 stalking first timer graduated at 5f, a 5-1 stalking first timer earned his diploma at 5f, and a 4-1 stalker tallied at 1 3/8 miles (rail at 30 feet).

No riding or training doubles on Thursday.

The $2 Pick 6 pool was $45,986 and there were no tickets with six winners. Tickets with five winners paid $389.80. There will be a Pick 6 carryover of $28,078 when live racing resumes on Friday, Aug. 7.

Del Mar Recap for Friday (8-7-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. One front running sprint winner at six panels on dirt. On the turf course, a front running favorite won the 5f opener, a dueling front running first timer graduated as the favorite at 5f, and a last-to-first closer upset the field as a 57-1 longshot in the flat mile finale (rail at 30 feet).

Armando Ayuso booted home a pair of winners on the main track. Antonio Garcia saddled two dirt sprint winners including Net Par in the Graduation Stakes.

August 7 Claims: Race 1 – Eva Lea ($32k, Bill McLean), Long Mayshe Reign ($32k, Steve Knapp). Race 2 – Free and Humble ($10k, Jeff Mullins), Makenarita ($10k, Steve Sherman). Race 4 – Marcos Performance ($32k, Paul Aguirre).

The $2 Pick 6 carryover pool was $197,293 and there were no tickets with six winners. Tickets with five winners paid $3,764.20. There will be a double Pick 6 carryover of $148,537when live racing resumes on Saturday, August 8.

Fast main track and firm turf course. Three front running sprint winners on dirt (5.5f, 6f, 6f). On the turf course, a closing favorite tallied at one mile, a stalking favorite prevailed at 5f, a 6-1 closer graduated at 9f, closing favorite Warming got up late in the Yellow Ribbon (G2) at 1 1/16 miles, and a 4-1 front runner earned his diploma in the flat mile finale (rail at 18 feet)

Juan Hernandez guided home three winners including a pair in the graded ranks. Armando Ayuso (turf) and Antonio Fresu (maidens) both booted home a pair.

On the turf course, a 7-1 stalker graduated in the 9f opener, a stalking favorite tallied at one mile, a 6-1 stalker scored at 5f, a 9-2 stalker won at 5f, and a 4-1 closer took the flat mile finale (rail at 18 feet).

Juan Hernandez (dirt sprints) and Joel Rosario (turf) both guided home two winners. Bob Baffert saddled two dirt sprint winners and Hernandez rode both including Holmby in the Sorrento (G3).

August 9 Claims: Race 5 – Enterdadragon ($25k, Mike Puype). Race 7 – Andiamo Ragazza ($20k, Steve Sherman). Race 8 – No Bad Beats ($50k, Leonard Powell).
