#2 Luck Lucky (2-1) dropped from MSW to Mcl-50k and graduated at 6T April 3, and was last of 6 in a SOC-50k turf sprint April 30. He dropped into a restricted claimer June 15 (Clm-25k/2L, 6.5T) and stalked the pace and missed by a half-length (blinkers on). His winning rider Antonio Fresu stays put and he is 1-for-19 with Phil D’Amato recently.
#6 Proud Racer (7-2) finished in the top three in his last nine starts in the maiden ranks. He was the favorite in his last five starts and finally got over the hump at one mile on dirt at LRC June 26 (placed first thru disqualification). He missed by a half-length in his lone turf try at 6T May 10.
#7 Hurricane Way (3-1) rallied to hit the board in his last two claiming dirt sprints. The late runner hit the board in 3 of 9 turf starts and will try to get involved late. He fired a local 4f gate bullet for this July 30 and Mark Rheinford is a profitable 18% turf trainer. He reconnects with his winning rider Armando Ayuso.
