Horse Comments:
#2 Banded Rocket (7-2) stalked and scored in a similar local turf sprint in April and was third vs. $50k foes July 25. This is his third start off a short layoff and he is entered for the $25k tag, and he owns competitive numbers.
#5 Test Factor (3-1) chased from second and weakened to fourth at 2-1 odds in a local 5T affair July 25, and he ended up a head behind Banded Rocket that day. This is his second start off a layoff and he is a tight fit at this level. He gets in light with apprentice rider Pedro Pena and he should be forwardly placed.
#1 Coffee At K J’s (10-1) competed on turf once and he won that local state bred allowance affair at this course and distance May 1. He was fourth in his last two all-weather sprints and he is back on turf and figures to save ground stalking the pace.
#4 Sabian (2-1) finished in the top three in seven of his last ten starts and he crossed the line first in half of those races (demoted to 2nd Jan. 8). He is 4-for-8 on all-weather ground and is 0-for-3 with a second and a third on turf.
