Del Mar Recap for Thursday (8-20-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. Three front running sprint winners on dirt (5.5f, 6f, 5.5f). On the turf course, a stalker won the 5f opener at 8-1 odds, a 7-1 stalker graduated at one mile, and a stalking favorite captured 8.5f finale (rail at 30 feet).

Joel Rosario booted home four winners.

August 20 Claims: Race 4 – Come Out Fighting ($8k, Jorge Farias), Des Doigts ($8k, Ruby Thomas). Race 7 – Rodrigoknows ($20k, Andy Mathis). Race 8 – Green Zone ($25k, Craig Dollase), Suntory Time ($25k, Isidro Tamayo), Ziggity Zag ($25k, Andy Mathis).

The $2 Pick 6 pool was $50,609 and there were no tickets with six winners. Tickets with five winners paid $454.40. There will be a Pick 6 carryover of $30,900 when live racing resumes on Friday, Aug. 21.

Fast main track and firm turf course. One front running sprint winner at 5.5f on dirt. On the turf course, an 11-1 stalking first timer graduated in the 5f opener, a 57-1 stalker won at 5f, a dueling front running favorite earned her diploma at 5f, and a 7-2 stalker tallied at one mile (rail at 30 feet).

Doug O’Neill saddled two turf winners.

August 21 Claims: Race 6 – Central Dispatch ($40k, Jesus Uranga), Thirty Two Chunk ($40k, James Crotts).

Del Mar Recap for Saturday (8-22-26)

Fast main track and firm turf course. Four front running winners on dirt (6f, 5.5f, 8f, 10f). On the turf course, a 4-1 closer graduated in the one mile opener, a 14-1 last-to-first closer tallied at 8.5f, 7-1 last-to-first closer Sorrento Sky won the Green Flash Handicap (G2) at 5f, a 6-1 midpack stalker struck at one mile, 5-2 stalker Tam Tam won the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks at 9f, and 5-1 stalker King of Gosford captured the Del Mar Mile (G2).

Umberto Rispoli guided home three winners (2 graded turf winners). Junior Alvarado booted home a pair of Grade 1 route winners (Tam Tam, Knightsbridge). Phil D’Amato added two graded winners on turf and Rispoli rode both.
