#6 Navy Seal (9-2) stalked, led, and finished 2 1/2 lengths behind Tawny Port in a clear runner-up finish in the G2 Belmont Gold Cup at 2 miles on turf June 4. He won a local 12T affair last September. Jose Ortiz stays put and he is 5-for-19 with Wesley Ward, and he should be forwardly placed in a marathon race lacking front end speed.
#4 Tawny Port (6-5) won at 2 miles on turf in the G2 Belmont Gold Cup at SAR June 4, and he was 5th of 6 on yielding ground in the G2 Clement Turf at 12T Aug. 15. He can run all day and would appreciate firm footing. He hit the board in all three local stakes attempts and reunites with his winning pilot Flavien Prat.
#5 Limited Liability (3-1) romped in this race in 2024 and was best of the rest in third as the favorite in the 2025 edition of this heat (Tawny Port 2nd). This is his first start since November 2025 and he hit the board in 4 of 6 starts since his victory in this event in 2024.
#7 Truly Quality (10-1) competed at KD once and he was third in that allowance event in 2023. The 4-time stakes winner captured the G2 Hollywood Turf Cup in 2024 and 2025, and he settled for minor awards in 3 of his last 6 stakes outings.
