#3 Blue Fire (4-1) chased the pace and was clearly second best when last seen in a local dirt sprint June 28. She finished 1-2 in 11 of 15 career starts (6 wins) and is 1-for-1 at this distance. She is 0-for-3 with a pair of runner-up finishes at CD and she should be forwardly placed for the productive Jose Ortiz/Steve Asmussen team.
#7 Being Myself (5-2) was part of the exacta in 4 of her last 5 dirt attempts. She was up the track in a turf route at SAR last time and I will just draw a line through that race. She graduated at this distance and won a dirt route at CD last September. Flavien Prat is her new rider.
#6 White Rocks (7-2) enjoys picking up minor awards. She hit the board in 7 of her last 8 starts and should attend the pace under Luan Machado. Both of her wins were at TP (all-weather track) last year including the Cincinnati Trophy. She dropped her last ten starts.
#5 Union Mist (6-1) is another purse nibbler. The 2-for-23 mare settled for minor placings on ten occasions and she is 0-for-5 with four underneath finishes at one mile.
