#1 Ryan’s Girl (2-1) turns back and returns to dirt, and the 1-2 finishers from her last turf route were next-out winners. The 2-time local winner has stuck three times at this trip, and she tallied at this course and distance July 5. Genaro Vallejo is a profitable 20% with horses moving from turf to dirt, and Tiago Pereira is 1-for-2 with this outfit recently.
#8 Shop Till You Drop (8-5) was part of the exacta in her last three dirt sprints. She is 2-for-3 with a runner-up finish at LRC and projects an outside stalking trip under her winning rider Armando Ayuso. She is 3-for-5 with a pair of runner-up finishes at 5.5f.
#2 Dial a Friend (10-1) missed by a nose in a local abbreviated dash at 1,000 yards as the favorite Aug. 22. She has won here before and is 2-for-2 at this distance.
#6 Harney Lane (5-1) returned to dirt and rallied for the place in a $12.5k claiming sprint at DMR Aug. 30 and Andy Mathis claimed her that day. Her winning rider Ricky Gonzalez stays put.
