#3 Jasmina (5-2) hit the board as the favorite in her last two $16k claiming dirt sprints and Hess Jr. is her new trainer. She stalked and graduated by 5 lengths in a local 5f affair June 2025. Her regular rider Kyle Frey stays put and a stalking trip is expected.
#1 Twisted Humor (3-1) flashed sharp early speed and graduated at this course and distance June 6. She was up the track on turf Aug. 13, and she returned to dirt and bounced back as the favorite in a local $12.5k/2L dash at 1,000 yards Aug. 30. This is her third start off a short layoff and she might be the one to reel in from the inside post for the productive Ramirez/Uranga team.
#6 Elite Heat (2-1) adds blinkers and switches surfaces for Peter Miller. She split an 8-horse field in a $25k turf sprint at DMR Aug. 28, and this is her first local attempt.
