Horse Comments:
#6 Tirupati (5-2) hit the board in her last three turf routes at Ellis Park, Saratoga, and Kentucky Downs. The 2-time local winner has struck three times at one mile, and her running style versatility should serve her well in this spot.
#3 Slick (3-1) makes her first start since December 2025 for Phil D’Amato. Both of her wins were in local flat mile turf races under Monday’s pilot Umberto Rispoli (+ROI 25% turf rider).
#8 Bit’s Tiger Magic (5-1) scratched from Sunday’s California Distaff Handicap (6.5T) and goes in this flat mile race instead. She stretches out in her third start off a long layoff and she is the one to catch under her new aggressive pilot Ramon Vazquez (3-for-12 w/Miller). The 4-time turf sprint winner wired the field in local races at 6T (April 2024) and 6.5T (June 2025), and she returned from a layoff of 7+ months and went all the way at 5T Aug. 13. She regressed when finishing fourth by a length as the favorite at 5T Sept. 3.
#1 Innovative (6-1) has won races at 6.5T (G3 John C. Harris), 8T, and 9T, and was second by a nose in the Possibly Perfect at 10T. She cuts back three furlongs after splitting a 10-horse field in the CTT & TOC (beaten 3 lengths).
#7 Pura Vida Princesa (5-1) is a flat mile specialist with early-pressing speed. The 2-time local winner was part of the trifecta in all five attempts at 8T (5 2-1-2). She set a pressured pace and weakened to last of 10 in her lone graded turf attempt in the G2 John C. Mabee at 9T Sept. 7.
