Horse Comments:
#2 Jack and Jim (3-1) rallied to win his first two turf routes in 2024 including the Central Park. He missed all of 2025, and clipped heels and dumped the rider in his much needed return in June. He split a 10-horse at SAR Aug. 16. His regular pilot Manny Franco stays put and he fired a 5f Fair Hill bullet for this Oct. 2, and he might like the added furlong of this race.
#10 A Little At First (2-1) was part of the trifecta in his last four starts. He added Lasix, chased from second, and scored at this distance at SAR in June. He hit the board in his next two stakes starts, and he went back on Lasix and stalked, led, and held the place as the beaten favorite in a similar local turf route Sept. 18. An outside stalking trip is expected.
#7 Inspeightofcharlie (6-1) was part of the trifecta in eight of his last ten starts. He ran well in back-to-back turf routes at SAR in July and August, and he rallied to miss the show by a neck vs. this kind at BEL Sept. 18. He reconnects with Katie Davis and a late run is expected.
#8 Rabaja (12-1) earned the best last race number when finishing 4th of 11 at this distance at SAR Sept. 7. He will try to get involved in the lane under Edgard Zayas.
