#3 Kool Mariah (2-1) stretches back out in her third start off a layoff. She was clearly second best behind runaway winner Christel Clean at one mile Sept. 3, and she was an even 4th of 10 at 6.5f Oct. 2. Her best number was at one mile in September, and she graduated in a flat mile race on turf.
#1 Dottie Hinson (8-5) exceeded the winning par for this in a local sprint victory Sept. 7. She finished in the top three in all four starts, and Andy Mathis is 27% with his third off a layoff runners. She improved her numbers in her last three sprint starts.
#5 Dorie Miller (5-1) rarely wins (2-for-38), but she does hit the board frequently (19 minor placings) and can be used underneath. She is 0-for-13 with five runner-up finishes and five show finishes at SA, and 0-for-6 with five underneath finishes at one mile.
