Check out my Tuesday (10-20-26) Presque Isle Downs Race 5 analysis below.
PID 5 (OC-62.5k/1x, 2yo, 6f all-weather) – Post Time 5:18 PM ET
Primary – #1 CHEF’S KISS, #6 What’s Your Name
Secondary – #5 Thegreastestislove, #2 Line Astern
Horse Comments:
#1 Chef’s Kiss (7-2) rallied to win her local 5.5f bow by 2 1/2 lengths, and she broke slow from the rail and rallied for the show in the Presque Isle Debutante second time out. She earned a better number last time for the productive Rodriguez/Arriagada team. She drilled a local 4f bullet for this Oct. 9.
#6 What’s Your Name (3-1) stalked and scored as the favorite in his local debut at 5f July 27, and the 2-3 finishers were next-out winners. He ended up fourth in his last two starts and had excuses both times. He dueled and weakened on Aug. 19, and he raced wide from the outside post in a stakes race on Sept. 18. He gets in light with apprentice Taylor Kingsley, and he is entered for the $62.5k tag for recently hot trainer Ron Potts (5 for last 12).
#5 Thegreatestislove (9-2) was 3-1 in his course/distance bow Sept. 22 and he rallied from the inside post to graduate by 1 1/2 lengths, and the show finisher was a next-out winner. His new rider Antonio Gallardo is 1-for-4 with Todd Beattie.
#2 Line Astern (4-1) turns back and switches surfaces for Kelsey Danner. He improved his numbers in all three starts.
