Check out my Tuesday (1-28-25) Parx Racing Race 9 analysis below.
PRX 9 (OC-100k, 4&up, 6 1/2 furlongs dirt) – Post Time 3:41 PM ET
Primary – #1 VEESON, #3 Spikezone
Secondary – #7 Windsor Gold
Horse Comments:
#1 Veeson (10-1) won back-to-back optional-claiming races in October and November, and lost his last two stakes starts. He was beaten a dozen lengths in a distant show finish in the mud Dec. 31. He likes this course and distance, and figures to save ground behind the speed.
#3 Spikezone (2-1) is a 14-for-25 win machine. He won his last six starts and was never headed in those races, and is 5-for-9 at Parx and 3-for-3 at six panels. He is always the betting favorite and could easily wire the field again.
#7 Windsor Gold (9-2) finished up the track in the mud in a local stakes race at seven panels Dec. 31. He romped in an optional-claiming event under Dexter Haddock on fast ground at Parx Dec. 3. A stalking trip is expected.
#10 Traders Luck (6-1) is on top of his game. He was part of the exacta in his last eight starts and exits a romping starter allowance win as the favorite in the mud. He drew outside the other speed.
