Check out my Friday (9-12-25) Los Alamitos Race Course Race 7 analysis below.

LRC 7 (Clm-20k/3L, 3&up, 5.5f dirt) – Post Time 7:09 PM ET
Primary – #9 BROADWAY UNIONS, #3 Cupid’s Crusader
Secondary – #6 Yogi Boy, #2 Goldensunrise

Horse Comments:

#9 Broadway Unions (3-1) was part of the exacta in his last four starts. He romped by 11 lengths in a Mcl-20k dirt sprint in March, and he was second in a turf sprint in April. He returned to dirt and landed the place in a $10k/2L dirt sprint at DMR on July 20 and he was claimed that day. He stalked and scored from post 11 in a $10k/2L affair at this distance at DMR on Aug. 9 and his new trainer Hector Palma is a profitable 30% first after the claim. He completed the trifecta in both local attempts and figures to stalk the pace from the outside post under Armando Ayuso. The Union Rags gelding sports back-to-back Del Mar bullets for this.

#3 Cupid’s Crusader (5-1) stalked and scored by a head in a $16k claiming dirt sprint at SA on May 31, and he broke slow and split an 8-horse field in a $25k/3L dirt sprint as a 23-1 longshot at DMR July 18 (winner next-out winner). His winning rider Hector Berrios stays put and he will probably stalk the pace if he gets out of the gate in good order. He is 1-for-3 with a pair of show finishes at this distance and is 0-for-2 at LRC.

#6 Yogi Boy (5-2) is a surface switcher making his first start after the Sergio Morfin claim. He had his 4-race trifecta streak snapped when finishing 7th of 11 in a $25k claiming turf sprint Aug. 17. He drilled a local 3f bullet for this Sept. 3 and Edgar Payeras is 30% with this outfit.

#2 Goldensunrise (6-1) is probably the one to catch at a speed friendly distance. He wired the field at this distance at DMR last summer and is 0-for-4 since. He showed signs of life when setting a fast pace and finishing 3rd of 11 in a $10k/3L sprint at DMR Aug. 31.
