#9 Silver Moonlight (5-2) stretched back out and was the favorite in a flat mile OC-25k/1x affair at 8T Oct. 4, and she stalked from fourth and got up late by 3/4ths of a length. She earned a quality late pace rating last time and that race was validated when runner-up Goodbetterbest easily went all the way in her next start at GP Nov. 1. The sharp early-pressing filly is a 4-time turf route winner and her winning rider Micah Husbands is 37% with Saffie Joseph, Jr.
#7 Any Port (10-1) completed the trifecta in two of her last three turf routes. She likes this course (8 2-1-2) and distance (11 2-3-2), and Wednesday’s rider Daniel Centeno guided her to a runner-up finish in a local turf route May 2024.
#10 Rugelach (3-1) is now owned and trained by Sam Wilensky and this is her first start since August 2025. She owns decent numbers and might be the one to catch, and she likes this distance (6 3-1-1).
#6 Katies a Lady (15-1) is a 6-year-old mare with seven local wins and she enjoys this trip (14 4-4-2). She stretches back out and returns to turf in her second start off a layoff.
