Horse Comments:
#9 Lady Chic (5-2) split an 8-horse field in her flat mile dirt debut last fall. She returned from a long layoff and pressed, led, and missed by a head June 8, and she was 4 1/2 lengths in front of the show finisher. She was the favorite at 8T July 18 and she chased the pace and was in the mix turning for home but failed to quicken and ended up 8th of 12 (beaten 7 lengths). She cut back to 6T and I made her my best bet top choice Oct. 13, and she was an uncomfortable 5th of 12 as the beaten favorite (show finisher next-out winner). This shorter trip might help her cause and she can compete for the win if she runs back to her June 8 race. Juan Hernandez rode her in June and he is back in the irons on Friday, and he is 4-for-10 with John Sadler recently.
#5 Heads in Beds (7-2) completed the trifecta in her first three starts (6.5T, 5T, 8T), and was 4th of 12 at 6T last time. Her best effort was at this course/distance in August. Dam has produced three turf winners and Antonio Fresu strings along.
#3 Robin With a Why (6-1) makes her first start in half a year. She landed the place in her 6T bow and was 5th, 4th, and 6th in her next three turf sprints.
#7 Halstyn Rose (12-1) hit the board in half of ten starts. Mirco Demuro is her new rider and she drilled a local 3f bullet for this Nov. 23.
